It is celebrated on 31st October, the eve of All Hallows’ Day, a time dedicated to remembering the dead (including saints and martyrs). Nowadays, Halloween is celebrated in many countries around the world, but it originally came from all English-speaking countries, such as the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, South Africa, etc.
Its activities include trick-or-treating, costume parties, carving pumpkins into Jack-O’-Lanterns, apple bobbing and playing pranks.
Inspired by these traditions, our 2º ciclo students decorated the corridor with some Halloween symbols, such as Jack-O’-Lanterns, owls and cats. Take a look at their creativity!
